The thermoelectric power of semiconductors is large enough to make such electronic cooling of practical interest, particularly where small size and absence of mechanical movements are desired. V=a(Th-Tc) , where Th- Temperature hot, Tc- Temperature cold

The Piezeoelectric effect is the ability of certain materials to generate an electric charge based of of mechanical stress.
